2D Sketch
Every professional designer begins work on interior design by creating a sketch design. This is a sketch or, more precisely, a drawing of the future design of the room, made by hand. This is a kind of conceptual vision of the future.
But before taking a piece of paper and pencils, the designer communicates with the customer for a long time, trying to find out all the details about his character and aesthetic preferences. Which furniture sets impress him. Perhaps Italian furniture, or products from other European factories. His wishes on interior design, etc. The same applies to the rest of the family. And only then does the designer begin to carry out a sketchy interior design project.
The sketch is slightly different from the drawing. It is done without drawing tools, but with the preservation of the proportions of each element of the room design. There are always several sketches, since all parts of the room should be depicted.
Preparing sketches
Firstly, at this stage, the customer already has a rough idea of how he is offered to equip the room, and can make his own adjustments – he will ask to add something or, conversely, remove it. It is possible to play with color shades.
The second point. The contractor himself, using sketches, hones the idea of future interior design, combining certain materials and furniture style. In his fantasies, he can come up with an almost perfect design, in his opinion. But when the idea is put on paper in the form of a sketch, it turns out that individual decorations do not fit into the overall style, and materials may not combine with one another.
Thirdly, in accordance with the sketch (since it is made in color), finishing materials are selected. Moreover, we are talking not only about color, but also about texture, relief, and origin. It should be noted here that the color scheme on a sketch design project usually differs significantly from the actual shades. This, first of all, should be remembered by customers. The sketch is used to convey color spots in the future interior, display proportions and combinations of design elements.
